But is there really nothing new under the sun?

 Ljubljanski madrigalisti choir wants to show a little part of the twenty years of the choir's activity in the solemn annual concert, which will take place on 2nd June 2011 at 20.00 in Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory (the Great Hall), Ižanska Street 12.

When: Saturday, 21st May 2011 at 20:45.

Where: City Auditorium L. Candoni in Tolmezzo.

We invite you to the charity concert, which will take place on Friday, 18th March 2011 at 20.00 in Kamnik's house of culture.

Beside Ljubljanski madrigalisti choir, the Hišni ansambel Avsenik ensemble will perform.

The HIŠNI ANSAMBEL AVSENIK ensemble was founded on the initiative of Marjan Legat, Slavko and Gregor Avsenik in 1999 under the name of Hišni ansambel Jožovc. They perform exclusively the music of Avsenik.

The concert of popular music is intended for collecting of financial contributions for Kamnik's children from socially disadvantaged families to go to the seaside.

The concert will take place on Sunday, 6th February 2011 at 7 pm at Antonov dom parson’s house in Vič.

This time, the promised folk music concert will be performed on a special occasion, before Prešeren day and for this purpose we will also sing a few folk songs.

Our special guests will be the masters of vocal folk music, Jazzva group.

In the 20th international choral music competition in Prague, Ljubljanski madrigalisti mixed chamber choir won the golden plaque among 36 choirs and the second place in the mixed choir category. It also received the prestigious Petr Eben award for the best performance of any piece from this Czech composer and swept away 22 other choirs. In the opinion of the international professional jury, Ljubljanski madrigalisti choir performed a demanding and a properly selected programme.

The 20th competition in Advent and Christmas carols which took place on 26th and 27th November was hosted by the Czech capital under the sponsorship of the mayor. The competition gathered numerous choirs from 12 European countries and 2 choirs from Singapore. Beside Ljubljanski madrigalisti choir, there was another Slovenian choir, Vox carniolus choir from Jesenice, which won the golden award and Koral Laško mixed choir, which won the silver award in the chamber choir category.

The choirs also sang in the festival part of the competition. Ljubljanski madrigalisti choir presented itself to the public with Slovenian folk and art songs at the opening of Christmas Advent fair in the old city of Prague. In December, the choir is to perform popular music concerts, and in the spring, the making of a new CD and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the choir are to take place.

Choir Ljubljanski madrigalisti will paricipate in 20th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music with Petr Eben Prize 2010 from 26th to 27th of november 2010.
